Someone Else's Fairytale by EM Tippets

What I like about Tippets's work is that she makes me believe in love again. It's very rare nowadays to find a couple willing to fight through everything to be together. She makes me believe that two people from two completely different backgrounds and lifestyles can join together and develop something insanely beautiful. While the story itself is a well-told work of art, what captivated my attention was Jason's question regarding if what he did as an actor mattered or had a real impact on society. The truth is it all matters; every word you write, every word you speak, and every action you carry out matters, regardless of what it is you do or how it is you value those behaviors. This book reminded me that even that which appears to be very shallow on the surface--and often goes much deeper than we can initially know--has the capability to change lives. Always seek to make a difference because the attempt matters just as much as the end result. The attempt is to not be safe, to not be okay with being comfortable, the attempt is to be willing to make even the slightest difference. Jason and Chloe, I'm rooting for you! :)
