The Missing Corpse by Janet Evans
Quite surprisingly, this book was reminiscent of the Nancy Drew mysteries. It is written in an old school style of writing that I rarely come across nowadays. I was drawn to the book for this particular reason. One drawback was that the story had a predictable plot and didn't have creative and unprecedented twists the way that modern styled novels can be found to have. If Evans can develop her plot in a more unpredictable way, she will have a success on her hands. With that being said, as is, I think that this book and the style of writing would be more suitable for young adult readers.
