This was an absolutely amazing southern tale. I loved literally every interaction between Aubree and Booker! While they were bonded by something so horrific, something that pretty much kept them from being together like true lovers should be, I loved that despite everything they had been through as individuals, they were still able to get over the hump and be the couple every reader wanted them to be. This was an amazing story about personal growth, and also one of learning how to love a childhood crush for the person they actually are and not the person we imagined them to be in our heads. Not surprisingly, this book reaffirms my love for bad boys, thank you Booker Outlaw!
