Antisocial by Jillian Blake

Antisocial was a really deep book. Our culture today is dominated by social media and the freedom for people to express their opinions while hidden behind a computer screen. It’s high school with no walls. What makes the writing so good is that I don’t really know who these characters are really, but that’s exactly the point. What bothers me is that the world will most likely never reach anything even close to the resolution that Anna attempted with her project. How can you get the whole world to sit together and listen, everyone all at once, to focus on the positive instead of the negative words we tweet at someone else’s expense? I think that this is definitely a great read for anyone who anyone who wants to look deeper into what social media really does to our society. For a first novel, I commend the author for taking on the task of writing on and addressing a socially and culturally relevant topic.
